R S Impex

R S Impex is actually run out of Flat No 403 in the Golden Tower building over in Amlidhi. It’s not your typical commercial warehouse, which sometimes surprises people when they first come by. We handle a lot of importing and exporting, mostly dealing with different types of goods that come through the ports. Living and working in the same area means there is never really an "off" switch. The dining table is often covered in shipping documents and customs forms. Amlidhi is a decent area, but moving boxes in and out of an apartment building has its challenges with the elevator and the neighbors. We try to keep things quiet and not get in anyone’s way. My brother and I started this a few years back because we had some connections in the trade. It was slow at first, just a few small shipments, but now we have stuff moving every week. We spend a lot of time on the computer or the phone, tracking containers and arguing about shipping dates. It’s a lot of waiting around for news from the docks and then suddenly everything happens at once. The flat is full of samples and rolls of packing tape. It might not look like a big international business from the outside, but we manage to get things across the borders just fine. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy from morning till late at night.
