Kothari Mill Stores

If you walk down Station Road near Nanak Chowk, you will find us pretty easily. Kothari Mill Stores is tucked in among a lot of other shops, so you have to keep an eye out. The area is always crowded because of the station being so close. There is a constant noise of rickshaws and people rushing to catch their trains. Our shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of parts and supplies that mills might need. It is a bit of a maze inside with boxes stacked in the aisles and belts hanging from hooks on the walls. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone just walking in from the street. Most people come in looking for something very specific, like a particular bolt or a piece of hardware they can't find anywhere else. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs or climbing ladders to reach the top shelves. It gets dusty, but that is expected in this line of work. Dealing with customers all day keeps us on our feet. We drink a lot of tea while we talk to the regulars who stop by just to see what's new or to complain about the traffic at Nanak Chowk. It is not a quiet job, but it is interesting to see all the different people who come through. The shop has its own rhythm that matches the busyness of the road outside.
