Best Computer

Down on Jagdishpur Road in Basna, things don't move as fast as they do in the cities. Best Computer is our small shop, and we’ve been here for quite a while now. It is a simple building on a road that gets pretty dusty when the trucks go by. We don't have a big glass front or bright neon signs. Inside, there is usually a workbench covered in tools and various computer parts that we’ve taken out of machines. People from all over the local area come to see us when their laptops stop working or if they need a simple cable for their TV. We try to help everyone out, even if it’s just answering a quick question about how to use a new program. It is a small operation, and most of the time it is just one or two of us working here. We know the local farmers and the shopkeepers nearby. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just have to wait it out while sitting on the bench outside. It is a quiet existence for the most part. We spend our mornings sweeping out the dust and our evenings pulling down the shutters. The shop has that specific smell of old electronics and solder. We don't do any fancy advertising because everyone in Basna already knows where to find us on Jagdishpur Road. It is just a regular job that keeps us busy and connected to our neighbors. We like the quiet life out here on the road.
