Most of our work is done out in the fields or sitting in the office area at Narendra’s house. It’s a very local feel here. You might see some of the farmers dropping by to talk about their soil or the seeds they are using. We keep a lot of records on hand to make sure everything stays organic as per the rules. It can be a bit tedious with all the documentation, but it’s necessary. The office is pretty basic with just a couple of tables and some chairs that have seen better days. We don't mind the lack of polish because the real work happens with the crops. Mehdawal is a place where people know their neighbors, and we like being part of that community. We aren't trying to be the biggest organic company out there. We just want to help the producers here in Pratappur get their goods to market. It’s a steady job and we take it one season at a time, making sure the organic standards are met.
