Smith Ocean Reefer Container Service

Our office is over in New Panvel, right in Jhalak Appartment. We're in Room 203 of the A-Wing. It’s a busy spot near the docks and the industrial areas, which makes sense for what we do. We handle reefer containers, which are basically those big refrigerated boxes you see on ships and trucks. It’s a lot of technical work, making sure the cooling units are actually working so the food or whatever inside doesn't spoil. We aren't sitting in a fancy air-conditioned high-rise in South Mumbai. We’re out here where the actual containers are. The office is often full of manuals and spare parts. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and ship yards. It gets loud and a bit chaotic, especially when a unit breaks down in the middle of the night. We’ve got a small crew who knows their way around a compressor and a cooling coil. We don't talk much about innovative solutions or anything like that. We just fix the containers and make sure they're ready for the road. It’s a tough business and things go wrong all the time, so we’re always busy. Plot 173 and 182 are easy to find if you know Sector 9. We’ve been at this address for a long time and the truckers know we’re the ones to call when their reefer starts acting up. It's just honest, hard work every single day for the whole team here.
