Our office is located at J 371 Raghunath Vihar in Sector 14. This is out in the Kharghar area of Navi Mumbai. It’s part of the Raigad district, and the pin code is 410210. Working for the Intelligence Bureau here is just a job like any other for most of us in this branch. The building is part of a larger residential complex, which makes it feel a bit different from a standard cold office block. There’s a lot of security around the entrance, which is expected. We spend our days handling paperwork and keeping track of things. The commute to Kharghar can be quite long depending on where you are traveling from. Some of us take the local train and then catch a rickshaw to the gate. The weather here gets incredibly humid, especially during the long monsoon season. We have a small canteen nearby where we often grab a quick lunch. Inside the office, it’s mostly just metal desks, computers, and a lot of heavy filing cabinets. It’s not really a place for lounging around or having long breaks. We have a strict schedule and we try to stick to it. The atmosphere is professional but fairly quiet most of the time. You don’t hear much shouting or loud music here. Most of us have worked together for several years now. We know how the daily routine runs. It’s a steady place to work.
