Amra Chasibhai Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Amra Chasibhai, which basically means we are brothers who farm together. We are located near Parbelia Colliery No. 3 in the Neturia area. Purulia is a tough place to farm sometimes because the soil is dry and the water can be hard to find. But we are from here, so we know how to handle these things. We set this company up to help ourselves and our neighbors get a better start. We use a small space near the colliery to meet and keep our things safe. It’s definitely not a fancy office. There’s a lot of dust from the mines around here, but we just manage it. We focus on getting our produce to the market together. It’s much better than trying to do everything alone. Neturia is where most of us live and have our families. We have meetings once a week to see how everyone is doing with their crops. The district of Purulia has its own challenges, but we stick together as a group. We don't have a big marketing budget or any experts. We just talk to the local traders and see who is buying. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to get a decent price for the grain. The paperwork is a bit of a headache for us, but we help each other out with the forms. We are just local farmers trying to make a living. It's hard work, especially in the heat.
