Welkin Vista Hotel is situated in the Mirchoba area of Dakshin Sripally, right here in Burdwan. We are in Ward 16, which is a fairly busy neighborhood. Our building isn't the tallest or the newest, but we've made it into a place where people can stay comfortably. We started this as a private company because we saw a need for more rooms in this part of town. It’s mostly regular travelers and people visiting the university or hospitals who come to us. We don't have a fancy uniform for everyone. We just wear what’s clean and get to work. The street outside can get a bit congested with rickshaws and bikes, especially in the mornings. We try to keep the inside as calm as we can. We have a few floors and the rooms are basic but they do the job. We don't have a big lobby with expensive art. We have some chairs and a desk where we check people in. Sometimes we run out of bottled water and have to run to the shop next door. It’s that kind of place. We know our regulars by name. We’ve been at this for a while and we know how to handle the local issues like power cuts or water pressure. We just want to provide a reliable place for people to spend the night without any drama. It works for us.
