Chatterjee Engg. Works

We've been here in Rambandhutala for quite a while now. Most people know us because we're right on G. T. Road in the Burdwan district. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks passing, but we like it here. My father started this shop back in the day, and now we just keep things running from morning to evening. We do a lot of different engineering jobs. People come in with broken parts or they need something specific made from metal. We have some older machines and a few newer ones too. It gets really loud in the workshop sometimes, especially in the afternoons when everyone is working at once. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. Usually, you’ll find me or one of the guys covered in a bit of grease and dust. That is just how the work goes here. We handle whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it is a small repair for a local farmer, and other times it is a bigger piece for a factory nearby. We try to get things done when we say we will, though sometimes materials take a day or two longer to arrive than we expected. It is just a small team of us here. We know the neighbors and the other shops on this stretch of the road. If you are driving down G. T. Road and look for us in Burdwan, you will see the sign. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one that stays busy and does the job right for the local folks.
