Zen Microsystems

Zen Microsystems is located on the sixth floor of the A-Building in Pristine Fontana. It’s a bit of an unusual spot because it’s actually Flat No. 607. Being behind Maratha Mandir makes it easy to explain to people where we are, but the building itself feels more like a place where people live than a corporate office. We kind of like it that way, though. It’s quieter than being right on the main street. From the sixth floor, we get a decent view of the rooftops and the trees in the surrounding neighborhood. The office is basically a converted apartment, so the kitchen area is where we keep the coffee machine and some snacks. We’ve got desks set up in what used to be the living room and the bedrooms. It creates a very informal atmosphere. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing in the hallway, or you can hear a television through the walls, but it doesn't bother us much. We’ve made the space our own with plenty of wiring and computer setups everywhere. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a receptionist at a big desk. Usually, one of us just gets up to answer the door if someone knocks. It’s a simple, practical way to run things. We spend most of our time staring at screens, so having a balcony to step out onto for a minute is a nice change of pace from the typical office life.
