Yashwant Engineering Works

We've been here at Chikhali Road for quite a while now. Most people know the spot because it's right near SSG Hospital, at number 707. It gets pretty loud around here with the traffic and the sirens, but that’s just how it goes when you're working in a workshop this close to a main hub. We handle a lot of different engineering jobs, mostly fixing things that people bring in or fabrication work that needs doing. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there’s always a project half-finished on the bench. It isn't a fancy place at all. We have our tools and our benches, and we just get on with it. Sometimes it’s hot, sometimes it’s messy, but the work gets done. You’ll find us there from early morning until the sun goes down. Most of the regulars just drop by when they have something broken or need a part made up. It’s a practical kind of life. We don’t have a big office or anything, just the shop floor and the sound of welding or grinding. If you walk past the hospital, you’ll probably hear the machines before you see us. It’s been our base for years and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this street. There’s always someone stopping by to ask a question or check on a job. We just keep the doors open and stay busy with whatever comes through, whether it's a small repair or a bigger piece of metal work.
