There’s a lot of shouting and moving around downstairs, but once you get up to the third floor, it’s a bit more manageable. We have a small team working here at VPACA. The office is pretty packed with desks and chairs. We try to keep it organized, but with all the files we have, it’s a constant battle. We don't use any fancy management software to track our time; we just talk to each other and get it done. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. Most of us have been working together for years. We know each other’s habits and how we like our tea. It’s a comfortable environment, even if it’s a bit old-fashioned. We don't go in for those modern office trends like bean bags or game rooms. We are here to work. When the market is busy, the whole building feels alive. The stairs up to the third floor are a bit steep, so it’s our daily exercise. During the summer months, the market gets really hot, and we are thankful for the fans we have going. We don't have a cleaning crew; we mostly just tidy up after ourselves. We’ve had some of the same clients since we first opened our doors here. They know exactly where to find us when they need help.
