Vinnayak Hospital

Vinnayak Hospital is located over at Hyde Park Market Yard. If you know the area, you know it's a place where things are always happening. There is a lot of loading and unloading nearby, so the whole neighborhood has a very active, working-class feel to it. Our building fits right into that. We aren't trying to look like a five-star hotel. We are a hospital, plain and simple. We have the beds, the medicine, and the staff who know how to use them. The floors are scrubbed every morning, and the smell of antiseptic is just part of the air here. We get people from all over the market yard coming in. Sometimes it’s an emergency from the docks or the warehouses, and other times it’s just someone from the neighborhood with a fever. The waiting area has those metal chairs that are easy to wipe down. It can get a bit noisy when the market is at its peak, but we’ve all learned to speak up or just ignore the background hum. We keep the paperwork in stacks and try to stay on top of the schedule, though things rarely go exactly as planned in a place like this. It’s honest work. We show up, we see the patients, and we go home when the shift is done. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s our place. It serves the people around here.
