Vikram Thorat

This business, under the name Vikram Thorat, is run from Chikhlee on Sundara Mudaliar Street. We are tucked right behind Hotel Sagar, which is a pretty well-known landmark for anyone living around here. It’s not a massive operation, just a local spot where we handle our daily work. The street is usually narrow and can get crowded with bikes and people walking to the hotel. We’ve been in this Chikhlee neighborhood for quite a while now. The building is simple, nothing too modern, but it serves its purpose. Most of our neighbors are other small shops or families who have lived here for generations. We don't really have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People mostly find us by word of mouth or by just walking past the hotel. The day starts early with cleaning up the front and setting things up for whatever tasks are on the list. We have a small desk for paperwork and some space for the equipment we use. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. It’s a modest way to make a living, but it works for us. We know the people on Sundara Mudaliar Street and they know us. We just try to stay busy and do a decent job every day. There isn't much to it besides showing up and putting in the hours.
