Vijay Limaye

My name is Vijay Limaye and I work out of my place at 1626 Sadashiv Peth. It’s an old part of the city, and the building is part of the Radha Ramkrishna Society on Pherozshah Road. I’ve been here for many years, right near the Gopal Gayan Samaj. It’s a quiet area mostly, though the traffic on the main road can get loud during rush hour. I don’t have a big sign outside or a fancy receptionist. People who need to see me usually know the way or they ask someone near the samaj for directions. My office is just a room filled with books and files, and a heavy wooden desk that’s been with me since I started. I spend a lot of time reading through documents and writing notes. Sadashiv Peth has a certain atmosphere that I’ve always liked—it feels very traditional and steady. I usually start my day with a walk around the society before sitting down to work. I deal with a lot of local matters and people often drop by just to consult on things or get some advice. It’s a slow-paced way of doing business compared to the newer parts of town, but it suits me just fine. I don't feel the need to move to a modern office building when this place has everything I need and so much history around every corner. It is just a simple way of living.
