Venkatesh Opticals & Contact Lens Clinic is located at Shop No.20Janai Heights. It’s right near PMT Chowk on the Pune Nashik Road, which is a very busy stretch of road no matter what time it is. You can hear the big trucks and buses rumbling by the shop all day long. The shop isn’t huge, but we have enough room for the display cases and the equipment we use to check people's eyes. Being in Bhosari-Pimpri Chinchwad means we get a real mix of people coming in. Some are workers from the nearby factories needing safety glasses, and others are college students looking for something more stylish for their frames. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass on the counters because of all the dust that blows in from the main road. It’s just part of the daily job here. We’ve got rows of different frames on the walls and a small back room where we do the contact lens fittings. It’s a bit cramped in the back, but it gets the job done. Sometimes we just sit and watch the traffic at PMT Chowk when things are a bit slow. We’ve been in Janai Heights for a long time, and we know most of the other shop owners around us. It’s a tight-knit little community in this building. We don’t have any fancy sales pitches or anything like that. People just come in because they need help seeing better.
