You can find us at Shop No 371 right at Sant Kabir Chowk in Nana Peth. We are in the Sonar Chawl area, which is always full of people moving around. Being on Caves Road means we are right near Modern Bakery, so the smell of fresh bread and biscuits usually drifts into the shop in the mornings. It’s a small shop with glass cases filled with all kinds of frames. We spend a lot of time adjusting the nose pads or tightening the tiny screws on people's glasses. The shop has been here for a long time, and the shelves are a bit old. We have the eye testing equipment in the back room where it's a bit darker. People come in from the busy street, sometimes just to get their frames straightened after they sat on them. Nana Peth is a hectic place, so the shop feels like a bit of a break from the noise outside. We don't have any fancy displays, just rows of spectacles and some old posters on the walls. It’s mostly us and the customers talking about what they can or can’t see clearly. We keep a ledger of the orders and try to keep things organized despite the limited space. It’s a simple life of helping people see a bit better and fixing up their old lenses. The bakery next door is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us.
