Venkatesh General Hospital

If you’re driving down Paud Road, you’ll find Venkatesh General Hospital in the Bandal Dhankude Plaza. The exact address is 97/8/1 in the Busari Colony area. Being in a plaza means there’s always something going on around the building. There are shops and other small businesses nearby, so the parking lot is usually a mess of scooters and cars parked every which way. The hospital itself takes up a good chunk of the space on our floor. It’s not like those giant hospitals you see in movies; it’s more of a local place for the families living in Bhusari Colony. Inside, the hallways are a bit narrow and the lighting is that bright white color you expect in a medical building. We have different rooms for different things, but it’s all situated pretty close together. The staff is usually busy handling a mountain of paperwork or checking on patients in the beds. It gets loud when the lunch tiffins are being delivered or when the visitors start coming in during the evening hours. We’ve been at this location for a while now, so we’ve seen the plaza change quite a bit around us. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the elevator sometimes makes a funny clicking noise, but everything works fine. It’s a practical place. We focus on the daily tasks, making sure people get seen and their records are kept straight. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do.
