Vastu Nirmetee

Being located in Chinchwad means dealing with the industrial crowd and the heavy trucks all day. Our place at Vastu Nirmetee is at 3 B in Maninagar, right where the cross roads meet. It’s a busy junction. If you go behind the Chinchwad Telco factory, that’s where you find us. The office is simple. We have a couple of desks and some cupboards for all the files. We have been operating from this spot for a while now. The traffic noise is constant, but you stop hearing it after an hour or so. We usually have the door open to let some air in, even if it brings in a bit of dust from the road. There’s a small tea stall just around the corner where we go in the afternoons. The neighbors are mostly other small offices or people who have lived in Chinchwad for decades. We don’t do anything flashy here. It’s just about sitting down with the maps and the plans and figuring things out. Sometimes the phone rings all day and other times it’s completely silent. We keep a calendar on the wall to track the site visits. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit on high speed, making a clicking sound. It’s a lived-in space that feels like home after all these years. We have a few potted plants by the entrance that don't get much sun. They are still hanging on though. It is just a normal work day for us.
