Prabhu Raj Gruha Vastu Bhandar

The shop is called Prabhu Raj Gruha Vastu Bhandar and you can find it easily if you are walking around Lohegaon. Most of the day is spent just moving things around to make space for people to walk through the aisles. We have all sorts of stuff for the house like steel pots, plastic buckets, and those little things you always forget you need until you are in the middle of cooking or cleaning. Lohegaon gets quite dusty, so there is a lot of cleaning the shelves every morning before the first person walks in. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop where the lights are a bit dim in the back corners. Sometimes the tea guy from next door comes over and we just sit for five minutes when it is quiet. People from the nearby buildings come in looking for a specific size of tiffin box or maybe a new broom because their old one finally gave out. We try to keep everything stacked up properly but sometimes things get a bit messy when we are unloading a new delivery. It is a lot of work handling all the heavy boxes and making sure the glass items do not break. The floor is concrete and it stays cool even when it is hot outside. We have been here for a while now and most of the faces coming through the door are people we recognize from around the neighborhood. It is just a simple way to spend the day.
