At Vardhaman Distributors, we spend most of our time moving boxes and checking manifests. Our warehouse is at 144-B near Chimbli Phata in Kuruli. It’s a busy industrial pocket of Chakan, so there are always trucks coming and going. The roads get quite muddy when it rains, making loading a bit of a chore. We handle a variety of goods, mostly supplying smaller shops in the region. It’s a family business, so my uncle and I are usually the ones counting the crates. We’ve been at this Kuruli location for a while. It isn't a glamorous job, just a lot of lifting and paperwork. The office is just a small corner with a desk and a computer that’s seen better days. We try to stay on top of the orders, but sometimes things get delayed at the city gate. You can find us right by the phata, it’s hard to miss the big gates. We don't have any sales pitch, we just move the stock where it needs to go. Most of our clients have been with us for years because we’re consistent. It’s a loud area with all the factories nearby, but it feels like home to us now. We stay open late on Tuesdays to finish the weekly inventory count. Just a regular distribution outfit trying to keep things moving. We often share lunch in the office, just some home-cooked food while we talk about the week's schedule. The traffic in Chakan is no joke, so we try to get our drivers out early before the rush hits. It’s a repetitive cycle but it keeps the business running.
