Ashok Plastic Industries

Ashok Plastic Industries is located at Plot No. 51/3 in the D-3 Block of the Midc in Chinchwad, Pune. If you know the Pune industrial area, you know it can get pretty busy with all the traffic and the big trucks. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. The building is a bit grey and the sign is fading, but the machines inside work just fine. We do a lot of plastic molding. It gets really hot near the injectors, so we keep the big side doors open as much as we can. We have a few cats that hang around the plot; they help with the mice, I guess. We aren't a high-tech lab or anything like that. It’s just a place where we melt plastic and turn it into parts. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly right on the first try, so we have to mess with the settings until it’s okay. We don't have any fancy mission statements hanging on the walls. We just have a calendar and a list of things that need to be shipped by Friday. Most of the staff lives nearby, so we all walk or bike to work. It’s a decent place to be, even if it’s noisy and a bit greasy. We just focus on getting the crates packed and loaded onto the trucks without too much fuss. It's just a regular factory in a busy part of town.
