Varad Packer & Movers

Varad Packer & Movers is over in Kothrud at Mamunayak Pole. We’re based in Shrinidhi Apartment, which is a place we’ve called home for a bit. Moving stuff is hard work, there’s no way around it. We spend our mornings taping up boxes and trying to figure out how to fit a whole kitchen into a truck without breaking anything. Kothrud has some narrow lanes, so driving the big vehicles through the side streets is always a bit of a challenge. You have to be patient with the traffic and the people walking around. Most of the guys here have lifted enough sofas to know exactly how to turn them through a tight doorway. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just find us because they’re moving a few blocks away or across the city and need someone with a sturdy truck and some tape. It’s physical labor, so we’re usually pretty tired by the end of the shift. We’ve seen all kinds of houses, from messy apartments to really organized ones. Sometimes things go slow when the elevator stops working, but we just take the stairs instead. It’s just a normal business doing the heavy lifting so other people don’t have to. We keep the equipment in the apartment office and head out whenever there’s a job to do. It’s a simple life, mostly spent on the road or carrying heavy boxes up and down.
