We are located in the General Block of M.I.D.C. in Bhosari, at 71/1-A/10. Umiya Packers has been operating out of this industrial zone for a while now. It’s a busy place. Lots of trucks come and go at all hours. We focus on packing things up securely so they can get where they need to go without breaking. Our warehouse is big enough for our needs. It starts to feel a bit small when we have several big orders at the same time. The floor is hard concrete and it can get pretty cold in the winter months. We have a crew that knows the routine well. We don't need a lot of constant oversight. We just get the boxes and packing materials ready and start the day. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s necessary for businesses to function. We deal with a lot of different people around Pune. Sometimes the machines act up or the tape runs out. We have to fix things on the fly. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine for visitors. If you come by the shop, you’ll probably see us in our regular work clothes. We're usually covered in bits of tape or dust. We try to be helpful when people call with questions about their shipments, but we’re mostly focused on hitting our daily packing targets. It’s a practical business run by people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. We just keep our heads down and do the packing as best we can.
