My name is Umakant Admane and I work out of the lawyer chamber at 21 Warje Begur Hobli. It is a place where there is always some kind of paperwork moving around. I spend most of my hours sitting at a desk surrounded by files and documents. This part of town has grown quite a bit recently. Finding a spot in the chamber was important for me to stay close to where the legal activity happens. It is not a very large space, but it is enough for me to keep things organized. I see a lot of people coming through with different needs and questions. The atmosphere is generally quiet, though you can hear the street noise if the windows are open. I’ve lived around here for a while, so I know the shortcuts to avoid the morning traffic. Some days are spent mostly on the phone, and other days I am just reading through stacks of paper. It gets a bit crowded when everyone is in at the same time. I keep a small teapot in the corner for when the afternoons get long. It is just a regular office setup, nothing special to look at. People know where to find me if they need something handled. I try to stay on top of the schedule, but things often run behind because of the courts. I usually leave around sunset when the building starts to quiet down and the street lights come on. It is a lot of reading but I am used to it.
