Out here in Talawade, things are always moving and it never really gets quiet. We are located near Sultanpet Circle at 255/A. Tool Edge is basically a place where we keep a lot of hardware and supplies that the local shops and workshops need for their daily production. It’s not a very pretty building, just a functional space with heavy metal shelves and a lot of steel parts. The air usually smells like oil or cold steel, which is something you get used to after your first week working here. We spend a lot of time checking orders and making sure we have the right sizes for everything in the bins. It’s easy to lose track of small parts, so we try our best to keep them organized, even though it's hard. The traffic around the circle can be a real mess, especially when the big transport trucks are trying to turn. We start the day early because that’s when the factory workers are heading to their morning shifts. It’s mostly just us and the sounds of the machines nearby. There’s no fancy lobby or anyone to greet you; it’s more of a place where you come to get what’s on your list and head back to your own job. Sometimes we have hot tea delivered from the stall down the road and sit for ten minutes on some crates before the next delivery arrives. It’s hard work, and the floors are never really clean. But it’s what we do.
