Tongaonkar Hospital

Our hospital is right on the Mumbai Pune Road in Akurdi, specifically at Plot 17 in Survey 47. If you are looking for us, we are directly opposite the main gate of Bajaj Auto, which everyone in this area knows as a major landmark. We are also tucked in behind Hotel Brahma in the Vivek Nagar section of Akurdi. It’s a very busy spot because of the factory workers and the heavy main road traffic. The building itself is easy to recognize once you get past the hotel entrance. Inside, it’s a typical hospital environment with white walls and that distinct smell of antiseptic. We have several rooms for patients, and the reception desk is usually the first thing you see when you walk through the doors. The staff stays busy because of the location; we get a lot of workers and local residents coming in at all hours of the day. We spend a lot of our morning cleaning the floors because of all the dust that blows in from the Mumbai Pune Road. It’s not exactly a quiet place, but it feels alive with all the activity from the surrounding neighborhood. Vivek Nagar is a good place for us to be because we are close to where people live and go to work. We don't have a big corporate office or anything polished like that. It’s just us doing our jobs in this building day after day. Most of our patients find us because they pass by the Bajaj gate.
