This business is based at 23/A/B in Nigidi, sharing the space with some other operations. We handle logistics and moving, which basically means we spend our time thinking about trucks and boxes. It is a lot of coordination. We have to make sure the driver is awake and the loaders are ready to go. The area here in Nigidi is always buzzing with activity. Our office is not much to look at. It has some old calendars on the wall and a lot of paperwork on the table. We handle a mix of local house shifts and moving bigger items for shops. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes us late, which is frustrating but there is nothing we can do about it. We try to be careful with people’s belongings, but moving is a messy business by nature. There is always dust and the smell of diesel. My brother helps with the accounts during the weekends. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing. We just talk to people on the phone or when they walk into the office. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve seen many families move in and out of this neighborhood over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the lifting. If a truck needs a repair, we take it to the mechanic down the street. It’s just a normal local business. We keep some extra blankets in the corner for wrapping the fragile stuff.
