I work out of a small office at 53/54 in Shivaji Nagar, situated right behind the District Court. Being so close to the court means the atmosphere is always a bit hectic around here. From the window, you can see people in black robes rushing around and lots of folks looking worried or waiting for their turn. My space is filled with stacks of papers and old wooden furniture that has seen better days. I’ve spent many years in this spot, and the walls are covered with shelves that are overflowing with folders and documents. It’s not a quiet place, as the sounds of the street and the crowds from the court come right through the door. I usually start my day quite early to get some peace before the court opens and the real noise begins. People come in with all sorts of paperwork, and I spend a lot of time reading through things and making notes. I don't use much fancy technology, just a basic computer and a lot of pens. Sometimes the power flickers, and I just take that as a sign to go get a coffee from the vendor around the corner. It’s a very specific kind of life, being part of the Shivaji Nagar legal hub, and I’ve grown used to the pace of it over time. It’s just about keeping the files in order and helping people with their documents.
