If you find yourself in Vikas Nagar Kiwale, you’ll probably see us right opposite the Wisdom School. Sunil Wankhede Memorial Hospital has been a part of this neighborhood for a good while. The location is pretty convenient because of the school across the street, though traffic gets a bit messy when classes let out. We built this place to serve the people right here in Kiwale so they wouldn’t have to travel too far for medical help. It’s a straightforward setup. We have a few wards and an emergency area that stays ready. The staff here is mostly local people, which makes things feel a bit more familiar for the patients. We aren’t trying to be the biggest hospital in the region, just a place that works when someone is sick. Sometimes the paint on the walls looks a bit dull, but we try to keep the equipment updated when the budget allows for it. You won’t find any glossy brochures here. We talk to people plainly and tell them what’s going on with their health without using too much jargon. The benches in the waiting area are sturdy, and we keep a water cooler nearby. It’s a functional place. We’ve had a lot of families come through over the years. It’s just us doing what we can for Vikas Nagar. Just look for the building across from Wisdom School and you’ll find the entrance. We keep our doors open for anyone in the neighborhood.
