Sungard

Our office is tucked away in Pimprigaon, right in Manjula Masulkar Park. It’s the A-2 unit. If you’re coming down Kate Pimple Road in Pune, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s not as loud as being right in the middle of the city. We’ve got a small team here at Sungard. Most of the day is spent at our computers, typing away or talking about projects. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we manage to get by. There’s a nice park nearby where some of us walk during the afternoon to stretch our legs. Pune-17 is a familiar area for most of the staff who live close by. We’ve got a little kitchen area for making tea and coffee, which gets a lot of use. The building is older, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out during the monsoon. We don’t really do big meetings with fancy slides. Usually, we just huddle around someone’s desk to figure things out. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, mostly. We try to keep things tidy, but papers tend to pile up after a busy week. Visitors sometimes get a bit lost looking for the specific building in the park, but once they find A-2, they’re set. It feels more like a home office than a big corporate tower. We like it that way. It’s quiet enough to focus but close enough to the shops to grab lunch. We usually finish up around six and head out. It's a decent way to spend the work week without too much fuss.
