Suncon Engineers Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Sai Palace which is right in the middle of Bhusari Colony. If you are driving down Paud Road in Kothrud you might miss the turn because it’s tucked in near the Lohiya Jain IT Center. We are up on the P-1/9 level and the office is basically just a bunch of desks covered in papers and coffee mugs. It’s not one of those modern places with bean bags or glass walls. We have regular chairs and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. Most of our time is spent looking at drawings or talking on the phone with guys out at the construction sites. You can hear the traffic from Paud Road through the windows which gets a bit distracting during the rush hour. We started this company because we knew how to build things and that’s still what we do every day. There are a few of us who have been here since the beginning and we’ve seen Kothrud turn from a quiet area into this busy hub. The stairs in the building are a bit steep and the elevator is slow so we usually just walk up. We don’t have a big HR department or a PR team writing fancy speeches for us. We just do the engineering work and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad.
