Suddpram Auto Engineering Company Pvt Ltd is situated right across from the Mercedes Benz Company. It is funny because they have that huge, shiny facility and we are just over here doing our own thing in a much humbler setting. We have been at this spot for quite some time now. The sounds of heavy machinery and the smell of grease are just part of the furniture for us. We handle a lot of auto engineering work, so there is always something metallic being moved or worked on. Our floors are concrete and definitely show the marks of years of heavy parts being dragged across them. We do not have a marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our days are spent talking to drivers or looking at engine components that need attention. It is a dirty job, and we usually end the day with black smudges on our foreheads. The traffic near the Mercedes plant can get pretty backed up, so we often spend our mornings watching the cars crawl by while we prep our tools. We are a private limited company, but we feel more like a local workshop where everyone knows everyone else’s name. We do not put on any acts. If you come by, you see us exactly as we are, usually busy and probably a bit tired. We just keep the wheels turning, literally and figuratively, from our side of the road. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough.
