I’ve been working out of this spot at B 58 on Airport Road for a while now. Being in the Karma Estate within GIDC Phase 3 means there is always some kind of noise or machinery running nearby. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything too quiet or clean around here. My space is pretty much what you’d expect for a place in a GIDC estate—lots of metal, some tools lying around, and plenty of grease. The commute isn’t too bad since I’m right on the Airport Road, though the trucks can make it a bit of a headache in the afternoons. I usually get here early before it gets too hot because once the sun hits the roof, it stays warm inside for the rest of the day. There isn't much for a waiting room or anything like that; people usually just stand around the workspace or find a chair if one is free. I handle a lot of the work myself, so if I’m busy with a task, I might not hear the phone right away over the sound of whatever is running. The neighbors in the estate are good people, and we often borrow tools or help each other move heavy stuff if needed. It’s just honest work done in a place that’s meant for getting things built or fixed. I keep my books on a small shelf near the door and try to keep things organized.
