Student Mall

We opened up Student Mall in Karishma Society a good while back, mostly because the location on 80 Feet Road seemed right for the people living around Kothrud. Most mornings start early here, usually around the time the traffic starts picking up near Sangam Press. It gets quite noisy outside with the buses and bikes, but we are used to that now. We handle a lot of different things throughout the day, mostly just trying to keep the shelves organized and making sure everything is where it should be when someone walks in. It isn't a massive place, just a regular shop where we spend most of our time. Sometimes the afternoon slump hits and it gets quiet, so we just sit by the door and watch people heading toward the main road. The weather in Pune can get a bit dusty, so cleaning is a never-ending job for us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but our spot in building 21 stays pretty much the same. People from the society stop by often, sometimes just to ask for directions or see what’s new. We don’t really do much fancy stuff here, just the daily routine of opening the shutters and keeping things running. Usually, by the time the sun goes down, we are just finishing up the last few bits of paperwork before heading home. It’s a simple way to spend the day without too much fuss.
