Our office is located in the B.M. Pawar Sarthak Building, which is over in Tanajinagar in Chinchwadgaon. We go by the name sonawane associates&interior. It’s a local spot in Pune, and we’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners on our block. The office is where we handle all the boring stuff like planning and paperwork. Since we do interior work, the room is usually filled with all kinds of samples, wood swatches, sketches, and measuring tapes. It’s definitely not the cleanest or most organized office you’ll ever see, but it’s a working space and we know where everything is kept. We aren’t interested in trying to look like a big, fancy corporate firm. We just want a simple place where we can sit down, do our designs, and meet with people to talk about their homes. Chinchwadgaon is a decent area to be based in because it’s got a bit of a local feel to it. We don't have a receptionist or a big waiting area with magazines. If you come by to see us, you’ll probably find us hunched over a drawing or on the phone with one of our suppliers. We use simple English and don't try to impress anyone with big, technical words. We just do our jobs the best we can. Sometimes the building gets a little loud with all the activity nearby, but we don't really mind the noise. It’s just a real, working office for real people. It suits us.
