Our office is in Omkargarh Apartment, Flat Number 9, which is on Bapu Saheb Purandre Lane. If you know where the Pizza Hut is in Shivaji Nagar, we are very close to that. It’s a busy corner of Pune, but once you get up to the flat, it’s much quieter. Design-O Interior Consultants is run from here, care of Smt. Shobha Mundale. We’ve got samples of materials and catalogs spread out all over the place. It looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time talking about colors and furniture. Since we’re in an apartment, it feels very personal when clients visit. We don't have a big flashy showroom. We prefer showing our work through drawings and actual site visits. Pune is a great city for design because people are always moving or fixing up their homes. We’ve been at this address, 1204/25, for a while now. The lane can get crowded with parked bikes, so you might have to look around for a spot. We don't use any fancy business talk. We just listen to what someone wants for their room and try to figure out a way to make it happen within their budget. It’s practical work. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is close, listening to the city sounds outside. It’s just how we operate. We have been in this lane for years and it feels like home.
