Shri Samarth Hospital

Shri Samarth Hospital is over in Rasta Peth, inside the Omkar Apartment building at 227 Rasta Peth. This is a very old and busy part of the city. There are many narrow lanes and old buildings all around us. Being in an apartment building means we are right there where people live. We occupy a space on one of the floors, and you have to walk through the main entrance of Omkar Apartment to get to us. The hospital isn’t massive, but we use every bit of space we have. We have some beds for people who need to stay over and a small area for the staff to work. The hallways can be a bit tight when there are many visitors. Rasta Peth is always full of noise from the shops and the traffic outside, so there is always a hum of activity. We keep the windows shut sometimes to keep the noise out. The interior is functional. We have white tiles and some metal cabinets for the supplies. It feels very lived-in. People from the Peth area have been coming here for quite some time now. We don't have a big fancy lobby. It's just a place where doctors and nurses do their jobs. The elevator in the building works most of the time, but some people still prefer the stairs. It’s a typical city hospital in a crowded, friendly neighborhood where everyone is always moving.
