Shri Balaji Glass & Aluminium

You can find Shri Balaji Glass & Aluminium at number 22 in Sant Tukaram Nagar, which is in the Dhanakawadi area. It’s a pretty busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and other small shops close together. We deal with all sorts of glass sheets and aluminium frames. The shop is quite narrow, so we have to be careful when we move the long pieces around so we don't hit the walls or each other. We’ve been here for a while and we know the rhythms of the street. The morning is usually quiet, but by the afternoon, everything picks up. We don't have a computer for the shop, we just use a big ledger to keep track of what comes in and what goes out. It’s a bit old-fashioned but we like it that way. The glass can be heavy and it’s always a bit of a struggle to get it positioned right on the cutting table. We wear thick gloves to keep our hands safe, though we still get the occasional scratch. We take our tea at the shop next door when they have a fresh pot ready. There isn't any fancy marketing here, just the work we do every day. We try to keep things organized, but when we have a lot of orders, the place gets a bit cluttered with offcuts and scrap. It’s just how it goes.
