Sarita Aluminium & Glass Fabrication Works

Sarita Aluminium & Glass Fabrication Works is located up here in Lonavala. Because we are in the hills, the weather changes a lot, and sometimes it gets so foggy we can't see the road from the shop door. We spend our time cutting aluminium sections and fitting glass into frames. It is a lot of measuring and double-checking because if you cut it too short, you can't put it back together. The shop is small and packed with materials. When the monsoon comes, it gets very damp, but we keep working. We don't have any fancy office staff, we just answer the phone ourselves when we aren't busy with a saw. Most of the people around here know us by name. It’s a local business and we don’t try to be anything else. The floor is usually covered in little silver bits of aluminium that we have to sweep up constantly. We have a small radio that plays in the background, mostly just for some noise while we work. It’s not a high-tech setup, just the tools we need and a bit of space to put things together. Sometimes we go out to help with the installation, so the shop stays closed for a few hours. We just leave a note on the door if that happens. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us here in Lonavala.
