Shree Sainath Roadlines

Our spot is at 42/23 in Nigdi, tucked away on G K Marg within the Satish Roadlines Compound. It is a practical place for a business like Shree Sainath Roadlines because there is plenty of space for the bigger vehicles. The compound is always a bit dusty and smells like diesel and rubber, which is what you expect in a transport hub. We share the area with other roadlines, so there is a lot of shouting and engines starting up early in the morning. Our office is just a small room with a heavy door and some old wooden desks. We spend a lot of time looking at logbooks and talking to drivers who have just come back from long trips. Nigdi is a good location for us because of the connectivity, even if G K Marg gets a bit crowded with trucks sometimes. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few photos of the trucks. It is hard work and the hours are long, but we have been doing this for years. The Satish Roadlines Compound feels like a small community where everyone knows each other. We drink a lot of tea and wait for the next load to arrive. It is a simple, gritty kind of life here, but it keeps us busy and the wheels turning. There is always a lot of grease and paperwork to deal with, but that is the nature of the business.
