Shivraj Packers & Movers

We started Shivraj Packers & Movers here in Kothrud a while back. Our place is on Juhu Road, right near the Vanaz company area. It’s a busy part of town so we are always seeing trucks and people moving around. Most of our days are spent loading boxes into the back of a tempo or a larger truck if the house is big. We handle a lot of bubble wrap and brown tape. It gets pretty loud with all the packing and the tape dispensers clicking all day long. Some days we are moving heavy wardrobes down three flights of stairs because the lift is too small. Other days it’s just small boxes of kitchen stuff and books. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big office. It’s just us working out of the spot near Vanaz. The traffic on Juhu Road can be a real headache in the mornings when we are trying to get the truck out, but we manage to get through it. We do what we do without much fuss. If someone needs to move their flat or shift some furniture to another part of Pune, they find us here. We keep our ropes and blankets in the back and wait for the next call. It’s physical work and your back usually hurts by the end of the day. That’s just how it goes in this business. We don’t promise anything crazy, we just show up and move the things from one place to another.
