Sha Sogmal Jasaji Khivsara

Our shop is down at Plot No. 857/1205 near Ad Camp Chowk in Bhawani Peth. This is one of the older parts of Pune, and you can feel it in the narrow streets and the way the shops are packed together. We go by the name Sha Sogmal Jasaji Khivsara, which has been around for a long time. Most people around here just know us as the place by the chowk. We don't have a modern office with glass walls; it’s a traditional setup where we sit and handle the business face-to-face. The area is always crowded with tempos and people carrying loads on their shoulders. It gets very dusty and loud during the day, but that’s just Bhawani Peth for you. We deal with whatever goods are in demand, keeping our ledgers updated by hand most of the time. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows their role. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. Sometimes the tea man comes around and we take a break, but mostly it's just continuous work from morning to evening. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our way of doing business stays pretty much the same. It’s about being reliable and showing up every day to see what the market brings. No fancy tricks, just honest trading with people we have known for decades now.
