Quality Steel Corporation

Our place is at Plot Number 629/2 in the MIDC Industries Area. It's right opposite the Intb Company and near the Jabra Company, so it's quite easy to find if you're driving through the industrial zone. Quality Steel Corporation is what we call ourselves, mostly because we try to keep the scrap and the good stuff separate. Steel is a tough business and the prices change every other day. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking rates and talking to suppliers. The yard is usually full of beams and coils. It can get a bit disorganized when a big shipment comes in, but we sort it out eventually. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for years. They know the yard better than I do. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have been buying from us for a decade. It’s a lot of loading and unloading with the crane. Sometimes the rain slows us down because the ground gets muddy and the trucks get stuck. But we just pull them out and keep moving. We aren't a giant corporation despite the name; we are just a group of people working with metal in a dusty industrial plot. It's a living and we've gotten used to the grease and the heavy lifting over time. We just keep our heads down and work until the gate closes at night.
