Being based in Sai Prasad Housing Society in Vadgaon Budruk is a lot different than having a shop on the main road. It’s much more of a personal setup here at number 6. Since we are right off Sinhgad Road, there is always that distant roar of traffic, but inside the society, it stays fairly calm. My workspace is just a room set aside with a desk, some overflowing bookshelves, and a window that looks out onto the common area. I don't have a big sign outside or a staff to answer the phones. It is just me handling the daily tasks and keeping track of the paperwork that piles up. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to chat or the delivery boys get confused about the house numbers, which adds a bit of life to the day. It’s a very simple way of working. I don't follow a strict corporate schedule; I just start when the tea is ready and finish when the work is done. The room can get a bit cluttered with files and old registers, but I know where everything is. Living and working in the same area means there isn’t much of a commute, which is nice given how busy Sinhgad Road gets in the evenings. It’s a quiet, local way of doing things, and it suits the kind of work I do here in Vadgaon.
