Saundarya is tucked away in the Morgaonkar-Arihant Market on Kumthekar Road. This is right in the heart of the Tulsi Baug area in Sadashiv Peth. If you’ve ever been shopping in Tulsi Baug, you know how packed and lively it gets. Our shop is number 10. It’s a small space, but we have everything we need. The market is full of all sorts of things, and the air is always filled with people talking and haggling. It’s a very traditional part of Pune. We’ve got a lot of history in this neighborhood. The shop itself is simple. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. It's just us and our products. We spend most of the day helping whoever walks in. Sometimes it’s busy, sometimes it’s quiet. On rainy days, the water drips a bit near the entrance, so we have to watch out for that. We know most of the other vendors around here. It’s like a big family in some ways. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just show up, open the shutters, and do our best. It’s a humble place, but it’s ours. The walk from the main road to the shop is always interesting because there is so much to see. It’s a real slice of local life here in Sadashiv Peth. We’ve had the same shelving for years and it still works fine. Most people come to us because they were already in the market for something else. It is just a nice, simple way to run a business.
