Parmar Mastani Parlour

We are over in Anand Nagar on Juhu Church Road, right at Shop Number 5. This area gets quite a bit of foot traffic because of the church nearby. We focus mostly on mastani and some other cold drinks. It’s a small shop, mostly just the counter and the fridge units. We don't have much seating inside, so people usually stand outside on the pavement or sit on their bikes while they have their drink. The evenings are our busiest time when the sun goes down and people are out for a stroll. We try to keep the place tidy but with the straws and spoons, it's a constant job. My cousin and I run the place most days from morning until late at night. We don't have any big corporate backing, it’s just us. The Juhu Church Road can get quite crowded during festivals, and we barely have time to sit down then. We keep the flavors pretty traditional because that’s what folks in this part of town ask for. The shop sign is a bit old now and maybe needs a new coat of paint, but everyone knows where we are anyway. We don't use any complicated machines, just the basic stuff to mix everything up. It’s a simple business and we like talking to the regulars who come by every week. Our fridge makes a bit of a humming noise that you get used to after an hour or so.
