Sainath General Stores & Bag House

You can find us in Akurdi, right on the Hosur Main Road. Our shop is a bit of a mix. On one side, we have general store items like snacks and household basics, and on the other, we have a whole section for bags. We carry school bags, big travel rucksacks, and even simple purses. It’s a strange combination, but it works for the people around here. The Hosur Main Road is always packed with people commuting, so we get a lot of walk-in traffic. Students often come in looking for a sturdy bag for their books, especially when the new school year starts. We keep the bags hanging from the ceiling and stacked on top of the shelves to save space. It’s a bit cramped, but it means we have a lot of variety. We also have the usual general store stuff, so if someone needs a notebook or a quick snack, they can grab it at the same time. I’ve been running this place with my family, and we are usually here from early morning until late at night. There isn't much down time because someone is always needing something. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. We just put the new stock out where people can see it. It’s a busy, noisy spot, but it’s home for us. We like the energy of the main road and being the place where locals pick up their daily gear.
