Out in the Bhosari Industrial Estate, you’ll find us at J 321 on Rajmahal Road. Saif Sons Engineers & Polymers is a family-run kind of place. We’ve been working with engineering parts and different kinds of polymers for a long time. It’s a specialized kind of work, but to us, it’s just what we do every morning when we open the gates. The shop floor is always buzzing with the sound of the machines. We deal with a lot of plastic resins and molding processes, so there’s a certain smell to the air that you never really forget. My dad started this and now my brothers and I are the ones keeping the machines running. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. We get all sorts of requests, some simple and some that take us a few days just to figure out the best way to do it. It’s not always easy, and sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend half the night fixing it ourselves. That’s the reality of a small engineering shop. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders out on time. It’s a busy life here in Bhosari, and we’re glad to have a spot in the industrial estate. We’ve been here for years and hope to be for many more.
