Sai Drip

Our place is at 180, 1st Main Road in the Mahalaxmi Layout extension area. It is a pretty straightforward setup where we deal with all the bits and pieces needed for drip irrigation. If you come by, you’ll see stacks of black pipes and crates full of small plastic connectors sitting around the floor. Sai Drip isn't a massive warehouse, but we pack a lot into this space. The street outside can get quite narrow when delivery trucks are unloading, and we often have to help guide them in so they don't block the neighbors. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers and people trying to set up their gardens. They tell us about their soil or their water pressure, and we look through the bins to find the right emitters or filters for them. It is practical work and our hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the gear. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. We drink a lot of tea while we go over lists of parts. It is not the kind of job where you wear a suit. You wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty. We just try to keep enough stock on hand so that when someone needs to fix a line, we have the right piece ready for them to take home.
